A Small Business Collaboration

From High School Friends to Small Business Collaborators:                        

Some collaborations start with a cold email. This one started in 1985.
 

Lisa and I graduated together from Orofino High School. Like a lot of friendships, ours drifted over the years — different towns, different lives, the usual story. Then, out of nowhere, we reconnected on social media, and I got to watch her build something really special: Love Natural Beauty, a small business built around natural, well-researched skincare and body products.

So when Lisa reached out and asked if she could feature some of my senior portrait work on her website, it felt like more than a business ask — it felt like two old friends finding a new way to support each other.

Why She Picked These Girls

Lisa had a very specific look in mind: natural, unposed, real faces and real personalities coming through. When she scrolled through my senior galleries, a handful of my girls fit exactly what she was picturing.

Honestly, that meant a lot to me. As a senior portrait photographer here in Idaho, capturing real personality over posed perfection has always been my whole approach —

Getting to Know Love Natural Beauty

Since reconnecting, I've actually started using Lisa's products myself, and I'm hooked. What I love most about shopping her store is that she's already done the research — I don't have to read ten labels and Google half the ingredients to know something is actually good for me.

My current favorites:

• Pure Castile Dish Soap Bar — simple, effective, and no mystery ingredients
• Magnesium Tallow Body Butter — somewhere between a lotion and an oil, and it's become part of my nightly routine so it has time to really soak in
• Manuka Honey Tallow Face Cream — Lisa actually sent me this one as a thank-you gift, and it's quickly become a favorite

I'm slowly working my way through the rest of her line, and so far, everything has lived up to the hype.

What's Next

This isn't just a one-time shoutout for either of us. Lisa and I have some ideas brewing for what comes next, and I have a feeling this collaboration is just getting started. I can't wait to share more when the time is right.
