Hi, I'm Shanna!
I'm the photographer behind SS Reflections Photography, based right here in Orofino, Idaho. I photograph high school seniors, families, and local businesses all over the Clearwater Valley, including Orofino, Pierce, Weippe, Kamiah, Kooskia, Grangeville, Lewiston, Moscow, and beyond.
I've learned that I'm a creative at heart and a "multi-passionate entrepreneur." (Yes, that's a thing, haha!) I've been married to the most amazing, supportive, and loving husband for over 30 years. I'm the mom of two amazing men, and together with my daughter-in-law they've given me 4 sweet grand dogs. I'm patiently waiting for grandkids to photograph as I write this, LOL. I love spending any free time they give me with them all!
I've had many jobs that, after a while, simply got boring. They did however, teach me a lot of skills that help me run my photography business today. It's not all about taking photographs to run a successful photography business. Photography has been my passion and labor of love for over 20 years now, and I think I've stuck with it because it's always changing and evolving. (LIKE ME!) There's always something new to learn, and every session is different.
I love planning a session and seeing the final images come together. Whether it's a senior celebrating their last year of high school, a family who finally got everyone in one place, or a local business that wants to show the world who they are, my goal is the same: to capture real moments and real personality. Whenever I pick up a camera, I get excited about the possibilities of creating something that tells your story. I can't imagine a day I won't want a camera in my hand!
